Holidays During the Pandemic…

Traditionally, the end of the year is filled with holiday celebrations, family gatherings, and good cheer — but the holidays will look a little different this year. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the CDC cautions that holiday gatherings and travel carry a high risk for getting or spreading COVID-19. That’s why it’s important to celebrate safely this year. With that in mind, out of our care and concern for the health and safety of our community all 2020 Holiday Events have been cancelled in Maple Shade, BUT let’s not let that hurt our Holiday Spirit! Visit Main Street and Gazebo Park to check out the lights and listen to the holiday tunes, then stop by one of our many businesses to do some shopping. We wish you and yours a very happy and safe holiday season!

Santa Visits Maple Shade

Monday, December 14th & Tuesday, December 15th

The Maple Shade Fire Department recieved a call from the North Pole, Santa has notified them that he will be landing his sleigh on the roof of the Fire Department! Santa will be boarding a big red fire truck to be escorted around Maple Shade Township. Santa will be visiting the South side of town on December 14th and the North side on December 15th. Santa will begin his rounds around 6:30pm Please listen for the sirens and come out and say hello!

South side is from Main Street toward Route 38 & North side is from Main Street toward Yocum School. Please note, the trucks will NOT be entering any apartment or condo complexes, so if you want to see Santa you will need to come out to the nearest street along which the truck will run.

Please keep in mind that if the department gets a fire call they will have to abort the activity for that evening and will be rescheduled. If there is inclement weather watch the web site for a rescheduled date.
